AT&T Invests in Small Business

In an attempt to claim the spot as data communications provider of choice for small businesses, AT&T announced in a press release on Tuesday that they will invest over $1 billion this year “to expand small business services within the United States and to continue extending their network globally.” Small businesses have started to spend money again, and AT&T CEO of Business Solutions said this about the matter: “Despite the continuing challenges of today’s economic environment, we continue to deliver on our commitment to provide companies with the network-centric capabilities and applications they need to enhance their operations.”

Russell Simmons Speaks to College Students About Entrepreneurship

As part of AT&T’s 28 Days Campaign which seeks to inspire students to develop the entrepreneurial spirit, Russell Simmons visited Howard University on March 19th to talk to students about taking risks, pursuing their dreams, and focusing on happiness over money. Simmons was joined by singer/songwriter Raheem DeVaughn.

iPAD Having an Impact on Wireless Carriers

Apple’s iPAD release and AT&T’s announcement that they will be investing over $2 billion to expand and improve their broadband data network arrived so closely to one another that it has left some to wonder whether the two are related.
