The BET Honors, held this past weekend, honored P.Diddy with an award for entrepreneurship. His retrieval of the award was followed by an acceptance speech in which he revealed that as a child, he aspired to be a garbage man.

On February 1st, BET will air the third annual BET Honors, an inspirational show that highlights distinguished African Americans in different fields. This year’s honorees will include Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Ruth Simmons (an accomplished educator), and Keith Black (a world renowned neurosurgeon). The purpose of BET Honors is, according to BET Networks’ President, is “to encourage our viewers to embody and emulate the passion and drive of these individuals.”
